Goal: to drastically reduce time to market

Conducting interviews with the key stakeholders in business, development and operations and at all levels (from director level and down) revealed the desire to become an agile, adaptive enterprise, supported by a similar IT organization, embracing change. The Quick Scan also mapped out the gap between now and the future situation, as well as the required steps down the road to get there.

The single most important finding is that there is a close relationship—and current mismatch—between the structure of an organization and of the artifacts it builds. The biggest hurdle to take is the cultural gap between the way a traditional big bank works and the high-speed, agile and adaptive way of succesful Internet companies.
